In the latest round of Google Research Awards, an open call for proposals on computer science and related topics, Prof. Ming Wu was one of 143 projects funded, and one of three UC Berkeley faculty awarded. The grant covers tuition for a graduate student while giving faculty and students an opportunity to work with directly with a Google researcher. Over 876 proposals were submitted from over 300 universities located in 44 countries. The recipient list can be found here.
